Connecting GoDaddy Email to Menvin

Connect your GoDaddy email account. GoDaddy offers two email services - we'll cover both.

Option A: GoDaddy Workspace Email (Microsoft-based)
If you have GoDaddy Workspace Email (formerly Office 365)

GoDaddy Workspace Email uses Microsoft servers, so the settings are similar to Outlook:

  1. Go to Menvin Connect page
  2. Select "Outlook / Hotmail" from the provider dropdown (works for GoDaddy Workspace too)
  3. Settings will auto-fill:
    • IMAP Host: outlook.office365.com
    • SMTP Host: smtp.office365.com
  4. Enter your full GoDaddy email address as the username
  5. Enter your email password (or app password if 2FA is enabled)
  6. Test and save
Option B: cPanel Email (Hosting Email)
If you have email through GoDaddy hosting/cPanel

Step 1: Access cPanel

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account
  2. Go to My Products → Select your hosting
  3. Click "cPanel Admin" or "Manage"
  4. Log in to cPanel

Step 2: Find Email Settings

  1. In cPanel, go to "Email Accounts" section
  2. Find your email address and click "Connect Devices" or "Configure Mail Client"
  3. Look for "Manual Settings" or "IMAP/SMTP Settings"
  4. Note the server addresses and ports

Step 3: Connect in Menvin

  1. Go to Menvin Connect page
  2. Select "Custom / Other" from the provider dropdown
  3. Enter the settings from cPanel:
    • IMAP Host: Usually mail.yourdomain.com or imap.secureserver.net
    • IMAP Port: 993 (with TLS)
    • SMTP Host: Usually mail.yourdomain.com or smtpout.secureserver.net
    • SMTP Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
  4. Enable "Use TLS" for both IMAP and SMTP
  5. Enter your full email address as the username
  6. Enter your email account password
  7. Test and save
Common Issues & Solutions

❌ "Cannot find email settings in cPanel"

Solution: Look for "Email Accounts" in cPanel, then click on your email address. You should see options like "Connect Devices" or "Configure Mail Client" that show the IMAP/SMTP settings.

❌ "Connection timeout" with cPanel email

Solution: Try these server addresses:

  • mail.yourdomain.com
  • imap.secureserver.net (IMAP)
  • smtpout.secureserver.net (SMTP)
Always verify the exact server in your cPanel settings.

❌ "Authentication failed"

Solution: Make sure you're using the email account password, not your GoDaddy account password. You can reset the email password in cPanel → Email Accounts.

❌ Not sure which email service you have

Solution: Check your GoDaddy account:

  • If you see "Workspace Email" or "Microsoft 365" → Use Option A (Outlook settings)
  • If you see "cPanel" or "Email Accounts" in hosting → Use Option B (cPanel settings)
  • Contact GoDaddy support if you're unsure
