Connecting a Custom Email Provider
General guide for connecting any email provider that supports IMAP/SMTP.
Finding Your Email Settings
Most email providers publish their IMAP/SMTP settings. Here's where to find them:
- Check your provider's support documentation or help center
- Look in your email account settings for "Mail Client Configuration"
- Search for "[Your Provider] IMAP SMTP settings"
- Contact your provider's support if you can't find the settings
Common Settings Patterns
Standard Ports
- IMAP: Port 993 (SSL/TLS) or 143 (STARTTLS)
- SMTP: Port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS/TLS)
Common Server Patterns
mail.yourdomain.comimap.yourdomain.com/smtp.yourdomain.comimap.provider.com/smtp.provider.com
Connecting in Menvin
- Go to Menvin Connect page
- Select "Custom / Other" from the provider dropdown
- Enter your IMAP and SMTP settings
- Enable TLS/SSL for security
- Enter your email address and password
- Test and save
