Connecting a Custom Email Provider

General guide for connecting any email provider that supports IMAP/SMTP.

Finding Your Email Settings

Most email providers publish their IMAP/SMTP settings. Here's where to find them:

  • Check your provider's support documentation or help center
  • Look in your email account settings for "Mail Client Configuration"
  • Search for "[Your Provider] IMAP SMTP settings"
  • Contact your provider's support if you can't find the settings
Common Settings Patterns

Standard Ports

  • IMAP: Port 993 (SSL/TLS) or 143 (STARTTLS)
  • SMTP: Port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS/TLS)

Common Server Patterns

  • mail.yourdomain.com
  • imap.yourdomain.com / smtp.yourdomain.com
  • imap.provider.com / smtp.provider.com
Connecting in Menvin
  1. Go to Menvin Connect page
  2. Select "Custom / Other" from the provider dropdown
  3. Enter your IMAP and SMTP settings
  4. Enable TLS/SSL for security
  5. Enter your email address and password
  6. Test and save
